Shawnee Bend Bluff Trail
Shawnee Bend Bluff Trail is a 2.3 mile loop trail that you can use for walking and hiking!
To get to the trail, take the West Dam Access Road to Shawnee Bend Park. At the top of the boat ramp parking lot is the Shawnee Bend Trail head. Enter around the yellow gate. Enjoy view of the river as you explore this 2.3 mile loop trail. The trail is accessible year round!
This hike has beautiful views throughout. The trail winds along with a startling view of Truman Lake. Several of the bluffs are easily accessible with rock formations jutting out for an extra thrill. This is a beautiful trail in which to catch a Missouri lake sunrise. Winding through some evergreen forrest paths that open up to a open field.
There are several abandoned structures on the trail that add to the interest. Rock walls still stand where these homes from years past stood. Of all of the beautiful hikes available to you in Benton County, you can’t miss this one. Photo opportunities are plentiful and you’ll never forget the memories made.
This trail loop is fairly short and should take you less than an hour, depending on time spent exploring.
